PIIRAINEN | BLOM | COMPANY was born out of collaboration of two modern day musicians J-P Piirainen, Venla Ilona Blom, Viivi Maria Saarenkylä and folk dancers who were graving deeper connection between folk music and folk dance. They combine acoustic guitar, beatboxing, accordion and dancing creating totally new sound and bringing Finnish folk dances to 2020 era.
Even though using modern sounds and contemporary playing techniques, companys roots are deep in traditional dance music and folk dance of Finland.
There are no separation between musicians and dancers in this company. Only equal artists doing new Finnish folk tradition.
